End of the Dial's production model was designed around resources on hand and facilitated by years of experience. Producers Brad Knull, Jeff Dernlan, Elvis Ripley, and Michael Foulke leveraged their skill, trust, and decades of collaboration as the project’s primary capital. A shared vision allowed them to assemble a nimble creative team unencumbered by the expectations of conventional production protocol.
Recording · The Soundtrack
A collection of original songs was written by Jeff Dernlan while he developed the screenplay. As the project took shape, demos were recorded on his iphone to which additional tracks were added during post-production. The result is an intimate companion soundtrack informed by the world of End of the Dial and inspired by recent decades of American roots music.

Jeff Dernlan — Writer, Actor & Producer, Soundtrack: Dernlan wrote the screenplay and stars as Chase Jacobs. His work on End of the Dial brings writing, performance, and production into a single creative process, with the character and story developing alongside the film’s broader artistic identity.

Elvis Ripley — Cinematography & Editing, Score: Ripley serves as both director of photography and editor, creating a direct connection between the film’s visual language and its final construction.
